Shows are hard.
Thats why when I can I do APPEARANCES.
At my last show, a guy looked over a dozen mermaids from 2’ to 6’ tall, all different hues, hair colors, and objects in the painting and pronounced...they all look alike.
Worse, he communicated this to a gallery owner which effectively diminished her inclination to carry this line of work.
I don’t know why people act the way they do at shows. It destroys a lot of young and fragile talent. For me, it meant less money for a move and having to store the work for 9 months until I could take it on tours again.
Don’t be that guy.
Be the lift not the stomp.
