I usually live in a coastal area, so my inspirations are the Petey the Egrets, hermit crabs, flamingos, pelicans and other animals around me. For a while when I lived on a boat, I had a heron for a roommate. He lived on my dinghy. If I failed to come home on time, he'd come looking at me at a dockside bar and screech at me until I brought his dinghy back out to the anchored mother ship. The heron did not appreciate it when Happy Hour went into overtime. I use a lot of original sayings and insights in my simple, colorful wildlife signs. I also do a great wiggly manatee. When you kayak around Sarasota Bay, it isn't unusual to find yourself hanging with the full figured creatures sailors once mistook as mermaids. It isn't a totally ridiculous mistake. Manatees glide like angels. Some of my best selling signs involve crabs and crabby sayings. If you don't see something here, ask me. I love doing custom work.
