I recommend making an appointment to go through the gallery particularly if you’re an interior designer, enjoy interiors of Coastal Living Magazine or have a beach home, bar or restaurant to decorate. Pam's work in particular is the type you'd expect to see in the best places in South Beach, Siesta Key and Sarasota beachfront homes, high end hotels and fine seafood restaurants. Check out three of my original painted tables. One honors the original families of Cortez. If you’re in town I can always meet you there to show you other work or just share a beer. I love a good story---and a GOOD BEER! The work here is more Jimmy Buffet and old Florida bait shop style. While you’re there I suggest the conch fritters with a side of melted butter and the sautéed scallops. Restless Native 5314 Marina Drive Holmes Beach, Florida 34217 941-779-2624 Kim is a fantastic supporter of local artists. If she has the ceramic stingray cheesetray in stock – check it out. She also sells work by a Trinidad artisan who makes carved wooden serving bowls. I love the handpainted horseshoe crabs done by a Cortez artist. And then she sells ME. She is one of my earliest and dearest supporters. Her inventory of my work is primarily smooth super colorful, very clear funny bar signs. You can also place a custom order with her and I’ll deliver to her shop. You'll not get rehashed beach stuff here -- this is all original hand done, small run craft by local artists. She's a great girl to share a white wine with. Ask her where to find anything and she'll be glad to tell you. Kim is very active in the Anna Maria Chamber of Commerce. Her husband Mark is a kayak tour guide, so be sure to ask her about his schedule. He knows the area well and puts on a top kayaking adventure. The Sea Hagg 12304 Cortez Road West Cortez, FL 34215 941-795-5756 Jan is a very particular collector of mermaids, nautical items and things with a connection to the sea. She sells nets, ship parts, portholes, nautical signs, painted oars...and so much more. To visit the Sea Hagg is a field trip into a brass and teak wonderland. Jan only carries my large simple signs. Most have to do with fishing or Cortez and are on old, weathered boards. Sometimes she sells a mermaid or two of mine as well. This is an elegant, well appointed store. This store is remarkable and of the quality that is used in magazines like Southern Living and Coastal Living. If you’re a restaurant, bar or interior decorator looking for a nautical, fishing or maritime look, this is a must stop store. Ginny and Jane’s at the Old IGA Anna Maria Café 9807 Gulf Drive Anna Maria, FL 34216 Bakery (941) 778-7370 Shop (941) 778-3170 Ginny and Jane run a fantastic café that is also a florist and gift shop. Ginny’s taste in coastal and Florida style runs to pastels, slate blues and white washed accessories. It is simple yet punctuated by wild mirrored floor lamps and fragrant soaps. It has a sort of understated SoHo look mixed with beach sand and terry cloth. In short, it is a highly stylized WARM. Ginny sells some of my egrets and other upbeat inspirational work. She loves signs that say CARPE DIEM. Seize THE day! This is an excellent gift and soup shop. Simply Put Artisans Gallery 11904 Cortez Road West Bradenton, Florida (941) - 795-4788 This store presents the white, airy, windswept, storm washed clean of beach living. Amazing white and pastel washed furniture with unusual touches such as metal fish drawer handles and unique design populate this brightly lit two story store. Little touches from jewelry, hangings, painted fish sculptures, mermaids and more fill all the nooks and crannies of this elegant coastal find. If you’re pulling together a look for a condo, patio or home, this is a one stop store. More like MOODS to Go than ROOMS to go…it a beach postcard in 3-D. Tim sometimes sells my smaller signs and more risqué mermaids. I often set up one day a month in his parking lot to sell my work from under a palm tree. If you see me there…BRING ME A BEER. Anne Bonney Tattoos Palm Harbor, Florida By Appointment Only michelley@michelleyqueenofqueens.com Michelley is a talented artist all around and also does tattoos. In her shop in Palm Harbor she also has a gallery of electic work from a wide variety of artists from male nudes to abstracts to wind chimes to old school flash to…me. She usually has 1-2 of my better mermaids and 4 of my best selling beach signs. Well known and well regarded she also has many shows in the area. She has great mermaids too. See her etsy store here.
